Board of Trustees Vacancies
The terms of two currently elected members of the Newark Public Library's Board of Trustees expire on June 30, 2025. Joey Nicosia and Sue Oberdorf currently hold these positions.
 
If interested in serving as an elected Library Board Trustee, each position is for a five-year term starting July 1, 2025, and expiring June 30, 2030. Prospective Library Trustees packets are available at the Newark Public Library, 121 High Street, Newark, NY.
 
Candidates must complete the Petition Form and return it to be filed with the Clerk of Newark Central School District at the District Office at 100 Miller Street, Newark, NY, by Monday, April 21, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The petition needs at least 25 signatures from district voters and must state the candidate's name and residence.

The OWWL Library System is encouraging all patrons to travel and explore the area by visiting all 42 libraries in The OWWL Library System!
Pick up a county map at The Newark Public Library and visit all 13 libraries in Wayne County collecting book stickers along the way and earn a fun prize bundle!
Complete all 4 county maps to earn a Limited Edition OWWL Library Card!

Some members support the Friends group by volunteering their time or simply by attending luncheons. Some members support the Friends through payment of annual membership dues or donations.  Some members choose to do both. The choice is yours!
