Grace or Luck?
by Irving M.

I’ve have sat in many AA meetings over the days, weeks, months, and years.  I have heard everything I needed to hear to stay sober one day at a time in the first six months of my recovery.  Everyone has their own story and their own bottom that led them to their first AA meeting; as my friend Charlie likes to say “the longest walk of my life”.  When I think about what I put myself through and all the risks I took, there’s no way I can say it was luck that got me to the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous.  It is only by the GRACE of God that I am able to share my experience with you and tell you how grateful I am to be a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.  I absolutely love being sober!
