I Asked for Strength
Early in my sobriety, a friend shared this in a meeting. It resonated with me, helping me consider challenges and adversity as opportunities to learn, grow, help and share.
I asked for strength and was given challenges to make me strong.
I asked for wisdom and was given problems to solve.
I asked for prosperity and was given intelligence and vigor to work.
I asked for courage and was given fear to overcome.
I asked for love and was given troubled people to help.
I asked for favors and was given opportunities.
I received little I wanted but everything I needed.
I'd love to include something that matters to you. Send that and any suggestions you may have for how to improve our newsletter (whether that's ideas for new or different content or you have information about anything AA related in our area) to newsletter@nvintergroup.org.
