Balancing the Nervous System

With the current state of the world it is not surprising that anxiety has increased dramatically in the last two years.

Anxiety Magic is conceived as a blend that balances an out-of-kilter Autonomic Nervous System and thereby minimizes the accompanying effects of a overexcited sympathicus nerve. Symptoms of aggravated stress, irregular heartbeat and breathing or shortness of breath (asthma), racing thoughts, obesity, diabetes and gastrointestinal problems have become all too common.

Following is a listing of the properties - according to French Style Aromatherapy - of the oils included in this blend. Their efficacy has shown itself through decades of use in medical and home environment.

Cape Chamomile stands out among the anxiolytic essential oils. It contains several unusual esters such as methyl butyl - isovalerate. Cape Chamomile is an effective sedative and antispasmodic, it relieves depression and eases nerve pain and neuralgia.

Ravintsara (Cinnamomum camphora) is a gentle nerve tonic, ameliorating neuro-muscular conditions. It works extremely well for insomnia as well as for pain and tension in the respiratory tract. French oncologists use Ravintsara to address the anxiety accompanying cancer treatments.

Hyssop decumbens has a unique combination of qualities. It relieves nervous depression and the feeling of being oppressed. It is also one of aromatherapy’s best anti-asthmatic agents.

Fine Lavender has many well understood properties. In the context of easing anxiety its hypotensive qualities are relevant, which allow it to relieve spasms of the solar plexus and anxiety per se.

Why Ravintsara has value in supporting  cancer treatments:

Dr. Anne-Marie Giraud Robert states that Ravintsara fights physical and mental asthenia, helps the patient make decisions, have self-confidence, and during treatment, it has an effect in fighting depression. Thanks to its sedating effects, it promotes sleep and reduces anxiety. It reduces the risk of infection during chemotherapy. During interferon treatment, it reduces most of this therapy’s side effects.

#Vintage Cape Chamomile (2016)

There is a reason why we always keep a small stock of an oil for future comparison whenever it becomes temporarily unavailable. In this case we can offer a true rarity: Cape Chamomile from the 2016 harvest. This oil represents what Cape Chamomile was before it became temporarily unavailable. Its fragrance is an experience onto itself, heavenly enticing, almost delirious, with its color yellowish instead of light blue.
