Being ACA Accredited means we (OYA!) voluntarily submitted to a rigorous (over 290 standards) review of every aspect of our operations. The American Camp Association partners with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies to be certain that policies, procedures, and programs at your child’s camp reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation.

The Happy Camper Fund! 
We are so proud to know offer a way for families to donate to help sponsor a child to attend camp! You may know that Oakland Yard has been regularly donating well over $12,000 worth of camps every year. We give them to schools and other organizations for fundraisers, and to be given to kids selected by the elementary schools.
Now we offer a way that campers can actually apply for a scholarship!
This is for families who would love to send a child to camp but just can't afford it!
The owners and camp director at Oakland Yard, together with the McLaren Oakland Foundation have put together a Camp Scholarship Program called the Happy Camper Fund.

Register for 6 or more camp sessions (all 1 child, or spread across siblings) and save $100 off your total!
