Greetings!

Last month was quite busy in Parliament with lots of activities in the committees and plenary sittings:

New Centers for yellow Fever immunization for international travelers were accredited by Ministry of Health, The Debate on whether National Theater is up for sale not was held on the floor of Praliament. Also, UNRA met with the Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises as they responded to queries raised by the Auditor General in the report for the Year 2015.

Government accredits 15 health facilities For Yellow Fever Vaccination

Government has accredited 15 government and private health facilities to offer yellow fever vaccination services to international travelers.

The facilities accredited by the Ministry of Health to provide the vaccination in the country include Victoria Medical Center, Kazuri Medical Care and Victoria hospital in Entebbe, KCCA Clinic, Norvik hospital, Kitante Medical Care, Span Medicare, Mengo hospital, Nakasero hospital, St. Catherine hospital in Kampala.

National Theatre not for sale
Members of parliament on Gender, Labor and social development committee have directed government to issue a strong order to artists and detractors to back off the National Theatre plan for redevelopment.

MPs who include the Workers MP Rwakajara Arinaitwe ,Nakasongola district woman MP Margaret Komuhangi says the re-development of the theatre is of national importance as the land mark is currently in a poor state.

MPs Draft Bill To Target Unemployed Graduates

Three Members of Parliament are planning to draft a bill to set up a graduate service scheme that will facilitate employment of graduates in government and private organisations.

Western Youth MP, Mwine Mpaka, Bunya East MP, Waira Majegere and Luuka North MP, John Bagole Ngobi say the proposed bill seeks to put into action a resolution passed by Parliament in 2015, urging government to develop a national youth service and internship policy.
