It's almost time for our flu and COVID shot clinics!
This year’s flu vaccine has been updated to protect against the strains most likely to circulate this fall and winter. The flu vaccine is recommended for everyone 6 months and older, especially older adults, young children, pregnant women, those with chronic health conditions or a compromised immune system. If you are 65 or older, we recommend getting the high-dose flu shot to help improve your immune response.
We also recommend receiving this year's COVID booster. The type of COVID vaccine you receive is up to you. We recommend the non-mRNA option called Nuvaxovid, since it causes fewer and milder side effects in the first 48 hours, and its immunity is thought to last longer than the mRNA vaccines. For those who would like to stick with Moderna, we also recommend mNEXSPIKE as a good option. Ultimately, we leave the decision up to each patient's preference.
Ladue Pharmacy will be coming to our office on the dates listed below. PLEASE NOTE: They are anticipating the COVID vaccine to be in stock by mid-September, however, shipments may be delayed due to reformulation.
As in previous years, if you currently have a doctor's appointment or lab appointment scheduled at our office in September or October, you may receive your flu shot at that time if you prefer.

To assist Ladue Pharmacy with getting your vaccine approved and covered, upload your insurance card to their form if you are able. Don't forget your appointment will be at our office and not Ladue Pharmacy.
