Everything is moving along smoothly as we transition to our new office location at 11475 Olde Cabin Road, just down the street from where we are now. We suspect the move is likely to happen anywhere from late December to mid-January, and we will certainly keep you informed as the move day approaches. We think you will find the new office spacious, comfortable and cheerful.

We have successfully transitioned to the EPIC EMR that is used by BJC and Washington University. Your visit notes and any labs or tests that we order are now easily accessible by all of your BJC/WashU physicians and are available to you as well through the popular MyChart portal. If you are not currently enrolled in the portal, please call the office, and we can assist in setting this up. We appreciate the patience you have shown as we adapt to this new EMR. We are getting better and more efficient every day!

Best Way to Communicate with Your Doctor |
|
|
Though we know you are accustomed to emailing or texting our cell phones, we are required to inform you that these are not encrypted/secure ways to communicate. Instead, Epic’s MyChart portal, mentioned above, is the optimal way to electronically communicate with us. MyChart offers a secure method of communication while allowing us to meet HIPAA regulations. It’s a win-win for all of us! In addition to keeping your health information more secure, MyChart also improves our communication with you. It keeps your chart at our fingertips for reference when responding to your questions or concerns and offers you easy access to our conversations to refer back to later.
Certainly, in a pinch an email message is acceptable if you do not have MyChart access.
Phone calls are an acceptable and timely way to communicate with us and are encouraged as well.

We suspect you all know Carol Hollingsworth, the particularly kind and sweet woman “with the British accent.” We recently celebrated her 80th birthday! Carol has been with Personal Physicians for the past 18 years, and prior to that she worked with Dr. DeLaney at her previous practice. She got her start in the St. Louis medical world with Dr. Al Wenneker and worked with Bi-StateMedical Group physicians Hal Joseph and Bob Taxman.
Carol hails from Somerset, England. She met her husband of 56 years, Holly, in Sierra Leone where she was volunteering as an X-Ray tech with the British equivalent of the Peace Corps. Carol and Holly have 2 children and always look forward to visits with their grandchildren.
When not expertly answering questions or skillfully drawing your blood, Carol enjoys gardening, walking, exercising, and is an avid reader. One of her favorite recent books is Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky about wartime France which she highly recommends.
We are very honored to have Carol by our side. She is dependable, capable and personable.
