The Session has begun
Monday's snowstorm forced inaugural ceremonies inside the Kansas House
chambers for the first time since at least 1923 but didn't delay the
start of the 2011 Legislative session. Members of the House and Senate
were sworn into office during the afternoon and there will be plenty of
new faces with at least 40 of the 165 lawmakers assuming duties for the

Nearly one-quarter of this year's list of legislators is new so it's
understandable if you don't know them by name. It's easy to find out who
is representing you in Topeka by visiting the Kansas' legislative
website at www.kslegislature.org. Here you'll find a full listing of lawmakers by name and by district. There's even an interactive map of the state available to you. (More.)
