PSU Announces Outstanding Alumni

Matt Frankenbery (BSEd '94), Rebecca VanTassel Light (BBA '93, MBA '94), Amy Trowbridge-Yates (BA '01), and Kimberly Young (BS '97) to be honored during Homecoming week with the 2019 Dr. Kenneth K. Bateman Outstanding Alumni Award, named for Emeritus Director of Alumni Relations Kenneth K. Bateman.

Daydreams of Axe Library Renovation Become Reality for PSU Graduate

Matt Dennett admits that when he was a student, he daydreamed a bit while working at Axe Library. “One of my classes was furniture design, and as I learned, I realized the furniture and the finishings at Axe were outdated,” he said. “I’d sit there and daydream a little about how it could be redesigned. I could picture how it would look.” 

Good Apple Award Nominations Now Open

Each year at Apple Day, we recognize an outstanding recent graduate as a “Good Apple” who has made an impact in his/her career field or community. Nominees must have received a bachelor's degree from PSU between May 2014-May 2019.

Pitts Family Chosen as 2019 Honorary Family

When senior Katy Pitts graduates May 2020 with her nursing degree, it technically will be her second time across the stage; her first time was when her mother, Kim Pitts, was pregnant and walking across the stage to receive her own degree.

World-Renowned Musicians to Perform at 11th Annual Midwest Trumpet Festival

Trumpet players of the highest caliber will come to PSU the first weekend in October to educate middle school, high school, university students, and professionals, and to perform.
