RideWise partners with Middle Earth Journeys Program and teaches E-Bike, E-Scooter, Drunk and Distracted Driving to high school students

With the growing safety concerns of e-bikes and e-scooters, we partnered with Middle Earth, a youth organization providing primarily young individuals with prevention and intervention services to teach middle school and high school students about distracted and drunk driving, and e-bike and e-scooter education. We visited different schools and youth centers within Somerset County including Manville, Bound Brook, and Franklin where we discussed the outlook on each of these areas, the impact they have on one's life and health, consequences, and important do's and don'ts when riding an e-bike, e-scooter, or driving. We found that students were receptive and engaged to discover the importance of safety when operating a car, e-bike, or e-scooter, but also excited to learn about the ways they can do their part to be safe while encouraging their peers to do the same thing. |

Introducing Ride Wisely with RideWise Initiative

We are thrilled to share a sneak peek into our new Learn how Ride Wisely with RideWise Initiative which is a digital platform experience designed for individuals, organizations, groups, and families to interact and share. From trending topics such as e-bike and e-scooter safety concerns for parents and teens to learning or re-learning how to ride a bike for young children through adulthood, there is a little something for everyone as they discover the value in wise riding from decision making to acting on their decisions on and off the road. |

Happening in the beginning of December, we will be launching the first waive of our Learn how to Ride Wisely with RideWise initiative which will be geared towards providing helpful resources and guides for parents, teens, and families about all things e-bike, e-scooter, and micromobility resources. Within the landing page platform, viewers will be able to engage with diverse ways to better grasp certain terms, helpful resources, tips, and information to aid in wise decision making especially right before Christmas in knowing what will be the best decision when it comes to ordering and operating an e-bike or e-scooter. |

CollegeConnect Program returns for Spring 2026 Semester: All interested and qualifying RVCC Students are encouraged to apply

It's Back, our CollegeConnect Program is back and this time its back for the Spring 2026 Semester. All interested and qualifying RVCC students are welcome and encouraged to apply. With funding from NJ TRANSIT, we are honored to provide a second-round of free bus tickets to student in making their commutes more accessible and accommodating to their class schedules.

If you haven't heard already or aren't aware, the day before Thanksgiving is known as "Blackout Wednesday" or "Drunksgiving" where there are greater instances and reports of drunk and unsafe driving leading up to Thanksgiving. We encourage everyone to be safe in the days leading up to Thanksgiving, on Thanksgiving, and following. Black Friday is also another big day where there are several cases of unsafe driving. Our reminder is just because the holidays are here, that doesn't mean hit the snooze button on being safe. With all the stress, excitement, and anxiety with holiday traveling and shopping, we encourage everyone to take their time riding their bike, walking, or driving. All it takes is one drink or one bad move to result in a tragedy. |

It's more than just passing accidents like these on the highway or hearing about them on the news. These instances caused distracted or drunk driving are taking away countless lives including those of first responders who are there to keep everyone safe. The associated statistics with the number of casualties and injuries are so much more than numbers, they were people who were unfortunately killed due to their or someone else's unsafe behavior.
RideWise Cares: We share our deepest condolences to those who have lost someone due to a car, pedestrian, or bike-related accident. Tragedies such as these are constant reminders about the importance of prioritizing safety and knowing how to make wise decisions before you drive or ride a vehicle. |

Our advice to you in preparing for Thanksgiving:
Thanksgiving much like all other holidays should be filled with excitement and relaxation, but we all know it can be chaotic from the shopping, cooking, decorating, planning, and let's not forget traveling. Despite all the hustle and bustle, our advice this Thanksgiving season is to focus on what truly matters and that is celebrating the holiday with those you care about and not speeding, running through red lights, or engaging in risky driving behavior that will negatively impact how you celebrate this year and all the years to come.

Have you heard? NJ TRANSIT is providing extra train and bus public transit services this weekend just for the Thanksgiving holiday. Starting on Wednesday, November 26th, NJ TRANSIT will be offering an "early getaway" rail and bus service. This in addition to Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving weekend, NJ TRANSIT will be adding extra buses and trains to the schedule in the morning and early afternoon to accommodate travel to and from the Macy's Thanksgiving parade in New York City.
