Beloved Earth's Program on Plastic Pollution

Background

Faced with plunging profits and a climate crisis that threatens fossil fuels, several U.S. companies are now demanding a trade deal that weakens Kenya's rules on plastics and on imports of American trash.  This move has spread concern among environmental groups in Kenya that have been working to reduce both plastic use and waste.

Call to Action

Tonight at 8:00pm, immediately following Grace Notes, our Beloved Earth Community will host a special program entitled, "Plastic Pollution: A Reality Check on Plastics, Environmental Racism, and the Impact on Us All."  This will be a great opportunity for members of our faith community to learn of new ways to become involved in our church's environmental justice work and help make our planet safer.

You can join tonight's meeting by connecting at this link (using the link for Grace Notes).
