Tomorrow’s General Election is perhaps the most important election in our lifetimes. The Riverside Church has been a polling place for many years and, if early voting was any indication of what to expect, there will likely be long lines for those waiting to vote.
With this in mind, in a spirit of hospitality, our church’s Mission and Social Justice Commission has secured box lunches to distribute to those who might experience long lines at Riverside. We want to do whatever it takes to encourage everyone to stay in line, no matter how lon it takes, to ensure their voices are heard.
Call to Action
For those interested in lending a helping hand, you are welcome to sign up for a shift as we will be distributing lunches from
10:00am – 4:00pm. In an abundance of caution, we encourage everyone to wear a mask and practice social distancing. You can sign up by accessing the Excel file found in the link below. Please be sure to include your email address on the sign up sheet to receive further details.
