Our Lift Every Voice and Vote ministry invites you to be involved in the crucial runoff election for the two senate seats that are now being contested in the state of Georgia.

Details

This is a crucial state election that will have national implications concerning post-pandemic economic policies, and policies on voting rights, health care, climate, immigration, the selection of judges throughout the federal judicial system, and other social and economic issues.

As Christians, we are called to care for all of creation, the earth we inhabit and for all its people. While the election is happening in Georgia, we certainly have a crucial role to play in ensuring all voices are heard.

Call to Action

1. Volunteer with the non-partisan voting rights advocacy organization, Reclaim Our Vote. For the last couple of weeks, members of our faith community have been phoning people in Georgia - targeting areas with historically low voter turnout rates - to encourage them to check their registration status and to re-register or register if needed. This effort will continue until the GA senate runoff election on January 5. If you are interested, please contact Sumati Devadutt at devadutt.s@gmail.com. You will get training on phone banking and can choose the amount of time you want to volunteer.
