The Smithsonian Open Door Externship is designed to open the doors to the Smithsonian’s vast collections, facilities, and experts in order to provide firsthand experiences to students interested in making connections across the Smithsonian’s broad range of disciplines, this externship fulfills the Honors Beyond the Classroom requirement.
