DIRECTOR'S NOTES
"Leafblower" by Christopher Gowell
I’m especially fond of taking Winter classes when it seems like there is more time for introspection and creativity. Our classes offer a wide range of ways to exercise that creative spark and connect with others who have similar interests. I take classes as a way to keep motivated and productive. Even as a seasoned artist, I need that push of being responsible to a schedule and other’s expectations. Great teachers allow me to progress further than I am able to alone.

Figure in Watercolor with
Russel Whitten
Russel Whitten teaches Figure in Watercolor (SA 4). Painting the figure in watercolor can be a challenge. This class will provide training in how we see forms, color and values abstractly, as derived from nature. How the human figure exists visually in an environment will play as a key element to this class.
