Bronze Casting- Organic Burnout


Green Foundry proprietors Josh & Lauren Dow have added a second session to Bronze Casting- Organic Burnout (SA 17) since their first class was sold out. This second session runs from March 19 - April 9 and meets Thursdays 5 - 8 for 4 sessions. This direct burn-out casting class presents the opportunity for your saved treasures to last forever, using any organic material to create a bronze casting. A tree branch, a pet fish saved in the freezer, driftwood, lace- all are fodder for this high heat casting process.


Carol Ann Morley,
our very talented botanical illustration instructor, offers a 4 week workshop- Drawing with Gold (SA 3). It runs Mondays 1 - 4 beginning April 13. Learn to apply an 18 carat gold ink directly to paper surfaces with a brush or dip pen. The flowing lines created are compatible with colored pencil, watercolor and gouache. All levels are welcome!

Carol Ann Morley also invites you to her Drawing Spring Flowers (SA 12) 4 week workshop on Thursdays 1 - 4 beginning April 9. Open to students of all levels, this workshop will teach you how to observe the beauty of natural forms- from bud to flower- through a series of sketches and more finished renderings Graphite, colored pencils or the medium of your choice are all perfect for drawing the flowers and blossoms of Spring.



Block Printing
with Amanda Rouse

Try this versatile method of printmaking with instructor Amanda Rouse. Block Printing (SA 15) runs Saturday & Sunday March 21 & 22 from 10 - 2. Relief printing involves carving and removing a portion of the printing plate to produce a design that can be stamped or printed on paper or fabric. Linoleum block printing, stamp making, foam printing, creating printed editions, printing patterns on fabric; all are covered in the weekend workshop.

Wheel Throwing with Bob Ellis
Wheel Throwing (SA 19) with Bob Ellis, a master potter,had been postponed and is now being offered March 18 through May 6, 9 - 12 for 8 weeks. Come learn the basics of wheel throwing, glazing and firing. This high fire stoneware class is for beginning and intermediate students.
