The Pleasure of Sketching, Botanical Drawing,

Colored Pencil Techniques

 sanctuaryarts
Carol Ann Morley offers Botanical Drawing (SA 7), one of the best courses to learn to draw from direct observation. Learn about color mixing with colored pencils as you learn to portray the characteristics of plants in your own compositional ideas. Carol’s The Pleasure of Sketching (SA 9) class invites you to enjoy the relaxed art of loose sketching. Sketches have a freshness and completeness of their own. Learn to achieve compositional balance, draw in proportion, and choose what to draw to create a visual narrative. All levels are welcome.

Carol also offers a one day Colored Pencil Techniques (SA 10) workshop on Friday November 18. Exploring and experimenting with this versatile medium is a great way to get to know the language of color, pencil techniques, as you examine how colors can harmonize together or create great contrast, recede into a background or appear to advance in space.
