Allan Di Donato is an instructor of Humanities and Philosophy at Central Piedmont Community College, where he teaches Mythology, Ancient and Medieval Humanities, Ethics, and Logic. He served for 4 years as the Discipline Chair for Humanities, Philosophy, and Religion, serves on numerous committees, and works with the Global Learning department running the Humanities Term Abroad program. He has personally led students abroad to Italy, Greece, Turkey, Spain, and France, and is right now preparing to depart with a small group to Israel.
Allan is a third generation Italian-American who grew up in upstate New York, and moved to Charlotte, NC in the mid-1990s. Prior to college, he fell in love with classics, especially ancient history, archaeology, and epic poetry. His other love was illustration. In college he pursued courses in both areas, but decided to focus his efforts on classics. He received his BA in Classics from Union College, and went on to obtain an MA in Classical Archaeology from Albany State. After teaching for just over a decade, he returned to graduate school to study Philosophy and earned an MA in Philosophy from Southern Evangelical Seminary.
Allan is currently married to his wife Susan, raising 5 step-children, and a two-year-old son named Caesar Augustus. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, drawing, comic-book collecting, and going to the gym.

2019 Great Decisions Kindle version - is now available to download from Kindle for $12.99
Because I'm allergic to the print ink on most books this is the only way for me to enjoy a book. This is an option for those who missed getting a real book through Senior Scholars and are comfortable reading on a computer, phone or other device.
