Prof. Mark Perez is a professor of leadership at Johnson & Wales University who teaches courses on moral philosophy and living well. His courses include Creative Leadership, Global Ethics, The Good Life and How to Change the World. He is chair of the faculty council and a former teacher of the year.
Mark hosts a podcast called On Life and Meaning. The podcast explores devotions. Mark asks guests about their talents, motivations and higher purposes. Guests include artists, writers, philosophers, civic leaders and creators. He also the founder and former editor of Charlotte Viewpoint, a magazine about the civic and cultural life of the Charlotte region. He has participated in several leadership development programs, including American Leadership Forum and Leadership Charlotte.
Mark had previous careers in financial advising, business and law. He received an A.B. degree in history from Rollins College and J.D. from The Florida State University College of Law.
