Justine Johnson joined the Office of Future Mobility and Electrification as Chief Mobility Officer in August of last year and continues to build Michigan's position as a renowned leader in this new generation of mobility and transportation technologies. Justine is an accomplished economic development and mobility executive with more than 10 years of experience in external affairs, strategy and government, and community relations. She has worked at the Los Angeles County Aviation Commission, New York City Economic Development Corporation, Ford Motor, and at USC as an adjunct instructor.
In this interview, Justine dives into exciting technology, innovations and mobility trends coming in 10 to 20 years, how the OFME plans to tackle some of the challenges they might face when developing new policy in mobility innovation and goals for growing Michigan’s economy.

2024 Transit Tech Lab Challenges |

Applications are now open for The 6th Annual Transit Tech Lab, an accelerated innovation program founded by the Partnership Fund for New York City and the MTA to improve public transit in the NY Metro area.
The Transit Tech Lab is inviting early and growth-stage tech companies with solutions in customer experience, resiliency or curb management to apply for a chance to collaborate with the MTA, Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, NJ TRANSIT and NYC DOT to test technologies in an eight-week proof of concept.
Applications close February 28.
