Continuing the tradition of the Steveston winter farmers’ market as a local attraction and a gathering place for our neighbouring community, the Cannery Farmers’ Market provides an opportunity for local food producers and artisans to showcase their products, which follow the “Make it, Bake it, Grow it, Catch it” philosophy. Only approved products that are made, baked, grown, raised, caught or harvested by B.C. vendors can be sold.

March 15 2018 STEVESTON FOLK GUILD PRESENTS TOM RAWSON & ELLEN VAN DER HOEVEN
Tom Rawson, folksinger and storyteller from Eastsound Washington. A master of warmth and wit who loves to share his musical treasures. Ellen van der Hoeven is a singer & songwriter from Vancouver. Her songs are influenced by her rich background in British, Irish, Canadian and American folk, and include references to fairy tales, family relationships, and of course, the universality of love. Tom and Ellen will have you singing, clapping, and laughing along all night. Join us for some humorous stories, user-friendly songs, and acoustic folk philosophy that's guaranteed to leave you smiling.

Explore both the Steveston Museum and the Japanese Fishermen’s Benevolent Society Building on a self-guided tour to learn about Steveston’s unique heritage. Enjoy fun crafts and activities for children on March 22, 28 and 29 from 12:30 pm-3:30 pm. Make sure you pick up a special spring break Steveston History Hunters scavenger hunt that will also have you exploring the Steveston Tram.

March 17, 2018 - April 2, 2018 SPRING BREAK AT THE STEVESTON TRAM
For 55 years, iconic interurban tram cars transported people throughout the Lower Mainland, from Steveston to the Fraser Valley. One of these tram cars, the 106-year old Interurban 1220, is now housed in a beautiful light-filled building on the corner on No.1 Road and Moncton Street. Visitors of all ages are invited to participate in ongoing site tours with knowledgeable staff. Get hands on with our new mobile discovery corner and make sure you pick up a special spring break Steveston History Hunters scavenger hunt that will also have you exploring the Steveston Museum & Visitor Centre.
