News and Updates
Gaylord Gauntlet
The 2019 Gaylord Gauntlet was a huge success!  The event was held on June 22, 2019 and SOLD OUT with more than 1,000 runners registered.  This included 22 athletes with varying ability levels including spinal cord injury, limb loss, visual impairment and stroke. This year, the Sports Association Team tackled the course with adaptive athlete, Jason Ross! Jason utilized a special all-terrain wheelchair to navigate the course, along with a climbing harness and belayer for the high obstacles and a sled for the ground obstacles. Jason trained for months to prepare for the race, and he conquered every single obstacle with support from the Sports Association Team!  Congratulations to Jason and all of the adaptive athletes who completed the course!  A special thank you to the 150 volunteers who helped to make this day possible!  All of the race proceeds support the Gaylord Sports Association adaptive sports programs.  Check out some of these media highlights:  Fox 61, Men's Health, You Tube Video featuring Jay Ross, Hartford Courant, New Haven Register, Town Times, Republican American, Record Journal.
Gaylord Golf Classic
The 2019 Gaylord Golf Classic was held on June 3rd at the Farms Country Club. Also, a special thank you to PMA who has been a sponsor for 17 Years! The Sports Association Programs are made possible thanks to fundraising events such as this, along with sponsors, donors and grants.
