Adaptive Mountain Bike Trails Project KICK-OFF
Join us in supporting the Town of Oxford’s development of an adaptive mountain bike trail system at the Rockhouse Hill Sanctuary, a town-owned park that has over 12 miles
of multi-use trails. The event will begin with a presentation on the plans to expand their trail network to include several adaptive mountain bike trails. Following this, there will be
an opportunity to learn about adaptive mountain bikes and test ride an adaptive mountain bike. Adaptive Bikes will be provided by Bike-on, a Rhode Island based company who specializes in adaptive cycles. Test rides will be held on a short gravel path and open field. Assist riders will be available through Housatonic Valley New England Mountain Bike Chapter (NEMBA). This event is open to anyone who would like to learn more about this project. Ski & Snowboard Discovery Night
The Adaptive Ski and Snowboard Discovery Night is a great opportunity to learn about adaptive skiing and snowboarding and how to get involved. The event includes a presentation on adaptive skiing and snowboarding, adaptive equipment demonstration and information on the Sports Association’s Ski & Snowboard Program. We will be joined by Karen Cook from Summit Adaptive at Ski Sundown, who we partner with for this program. If you have participated in our ski and snowboard program in the past, an email will be going out with all the information and dates for this year's program following the Discovery Night.
