Intersted in trying Sled Hockey? This is your opportunity! Join us for a Sled Hockey Clinic at Northford Ice Pavilion where you will have the opportunity to learn about and try the sport. Sled Hockey is a sit-down version of hockey, played by individuals whose disability
prevents them from playing stand-up hockey. Players use their arms with two sticks to power themselves on the ice with specially designed sleds, and most of the standard rules of hockey apply. This clinic will include instruction on the sport, getting fit into a sled
and on-ice time to learn basic skating techniques and practice skills. We will have all equipment available including sleds, sticks, helmets and protective gear. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners and those with hockey or sled hockey experience. Interested volunteers or able-bodied players are also welcome to attend! Attendees will have an opportunity to meet players and coaches and learn about the Gaylord Wolfpack Sled Hockey Team. |
