Sports Association Newsletter
The Sports Association is dedicated to improving the lives of persons with physical disabilities through adaptive sports and recreation.

Hello Friends of the Sports Association,

Sports Association programs continue to be on hold in accordance with the governor's mandates regarding social distancing and safety measures due to COVID-19.  However, as Connecticut begins the first phase of re-opening, we are excited to be working on a plan for returning to in-person adaptive sports programs when we are able to do so.  Our current goal is to determine how we can best serve our members while remaining in compliance with the new requirements and providing as safe an environment as possible. Our program structure and procedures may be different, but we are looking forward to getting back to sports and seeing all of YOU as soon as we can!  Adaptive sports are all about adaptation, and this is just another challenge we can overcome!  In the meantime, below are some new virtual opportunities you may be interested to attend including the Endeavor Games and the Abilities Expo.  We also have some big news in the world of adaptive sports to share with you - see the announcement below!  We will continue to keep in touch with you as we move forward with any new programs.  As always, feel free to reach out to us with any questions that you may have at sports@gaylord.org.  Stay well and we hope to see you soon!

All the Best,
Katie J, Debbie, Katie B & Chris.
