Dear Friends of the Sports Association,
As fall continues, join us for Virtual Fitness, archery, boccia, and golf!
Our annual Ski and Snowboard Discovery Night will be virtual this year and is on December 16, 2021 via Zoom. Join us to learn about the program and the dates of the ski trips for 2022.
The Gaylord Wolfpack Sled Hockey Team continues pratices and games and Wheelchair Rugby continues their season with practices at the WIlson Grey YMCA in Hartford. Everyone is enjoying their sports and excited to be back!

Ski and Snowboard Discovery Night |

We will be returning to Ski Sundown in New Hartford, CT for our ski and snowboard program in collaboration with STRIDE Adaptive Sports. Please join us for the virtual discovery night to learn about the program and how to get involved. The discovery night will be presented by Sports Association staff and a represnetative from Ski Sundown. |

Fall Virtual Fitness Series
|
|

There are two classes remaining in our Fall Virtual Fitness Series and we invite you to join us!
This FREE 7-session virtual class series will work on your fitness, strength, flexibility and endurance! Classes include Full Body Fit, Strength and Conditioning, Yoga, Mobility and Chair One Fitness. Classes are designed for all ability levels and are taught in the seated position with various modifications available to fit each individual’s capabilities. No experience is needed. Recommended equipment: chair, resistance bands, and hand weights. Resistance bands will be provided for new participants. Classes are held on Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Oct. 21 through Dec. 9 on Zoom. |

Golf clinics provide the opportunity to work with a trained PGA professional, Certified Recreation Therapists and volunteers to adapt the sport of golf, overcome barriers, and support independence. Clinics will include practice at our indoor driving range and putting green. Beginners and returning participants are welcome and all equipment is provided. |

Boccia is a throwing sport of precision which has been adapted for athletes of all abilities using a few modifications. The object is to place balls closest to the target ball by throwing or rolling the ball using a ramp. Games are played one on one, in pairs, and teams of three. All are welcome to learn this game of skill and strategy! |

Pre-registration is required for all programs. Please contact us with questions or to register by emailing sports@gaylord.org or by calling 203-284-2772. To maintain as safe an enviroment as possible, COVID-19 protocols will be used for all attendees, staff and volunteers. All participants will be screened for COVID-19. Face coverings continue to be required and clinics will have a maximum number of participants per session. Some programs have essential eligibility requirements for safety. Cost is FREE unless otherwise noted.
