We need one person who can run the audio the night of the show (Fri, Nov 18 at 6PM).

This shouldn't be too difficult, just involves plugging music from a phone to our speakers and adjusting the level of the microphone as needed.

Please contact Melina at (520) 481-0129 if you are interested and available.

Thank you!

Volunteering at Sunrise
We need volunteers for events, fundraisers, and other activities that support the classrooms and build community at Sunrise. Please consider clicking the volunteer button to learn more. If you have questions, please email volunteer@sunriseffo.com.
  • Sunrise Steppers – Join in the fun every Friday scanning the students (and teachers/staff) to count the laps as they run/jog/walk around the field as Ms. Dover encourages them to go "one more lap". Signup to be a Stepper Scanner
  • Lego Robotics – This special 6-week session is where Legos and Robots and math and reading and computer programing collide! Kids work in pairs to complete missions and gain skills. It's exciting and fun and Ms. Ackerman always appreciates parent volunteers that lend a hand. Don't worry, no robotic knowledged or computer experience is necessary! (This is not Skynet. ;-) Please check in with your teacher to find out when your childs class will be in the Robotics Lab.
  • Garden Club Sign-Up to help supervise students during lunch recess on Wednesdays.
If you've helped out already, you know how rewarding the experience can be, and if you haven't volunteered at Sunrise, please consider it today!

Talent Show

A huge thank you to all the wonderful Garden Volunteers who signed up to water the classroom garden plots over the past month. The garden is looking better than ever and the kids are having fun tending to their plots in anticipation of a bountiful harvest!

With the watering mostly behind us, we are now asking for volunteers to help supervise Garden Club during lunch recess on Wednesdays. We have had a great turnout the past 4 weeks! The kids are so enthusiastic~ weeding, digging for worms, re-seeding, hunting for strawberries and exploring the garden. Maintaining the garden requires a huge amount of manpower. Our hope for Garden Club is that the children will be more invested in the success of the garden and recognize the impact that their combined efforts will have on the outcome. Your children are amazing! Please consider coming out to see what they are up to in the garden.

Please Sign-Up HERE to help!

The classroom gardens are looking great! If you are a classroom volunteer, check in with your teacher to plan a time to get into the garden and thin the seedlings. There are many clumps of radishes and lettuce planted by cute little hands that must be thinned in order for the plants to grow properly and produce. Thank you!

If you have any questions, please contact Emily Franklin or Shirley Harvey

Thanks!!!
