From The Principal's Desk

Parents - Consider this testing notice an EARLY heads-up so you can plan accordingly.

TESTING/EVALUATION OPTIONS FOR HOMESCHOOLERS

Gr. 3, 5, & 7 only
Per Colorado law, homeschool students in the odd grades, beginning in Gr. 3, are required to take a standardized test or have a formal evaluation submitted to your local school district. (D20 recognizes CSP as the depository for these test scores.) CSP offers the ITBS-Cog AT Survey Battery in Grades 3, 5, and 7 for a $25 fee. Test dates are:

  • Fri. March 8 for WED classes Gr. 3 & 5 and MON. Gr. 7
  • Fri. March 15 – TH classes Gr 3 & 5
  • Only students currently enrolled in CSP may test with us.
  • A CSP Testing Information document including a permission slip will be sent home in January.
  • Practice test booklets will be available on January 14.
  • We will send home a copy of the student’s test scores in April and file the scores in his/her cum file at CSP.
  • If you cannot test with CSP, feel free to test elsewhere.  Provide CSP with a copy of the test scores to place in your child’s cum file. (You do not need to file test results with D20 also.)

Warmly,
Susan Nosal
