Wear a 50s outfit, denim with a uniform shirt, or TCA uniform.

This is not a Casual Day.

(Denim may not have holes, frayed hems, etc.)

TITAN OF THE YEAR-Call for Nominations

Mon. March 4 - Deadline to submit nominations

It’s that time for parents to nominate that special TCA teacher or staff member that has made a difference in your life or in the life of your child. Nominating someone for “Titan of the Year” is the greatest honor a staff person could receive! To submit your nomination and share your story, please fill out the short form on the TCA website or click here. All nominations must be submitted BY MARCH 4.  Questions? TITAN'S CREED

TITAN’S CREED: Parents may find the Titan’s Creed link posted in the left menu of this newsletter webpage.

TCA CORE VALUES: Core Values serve as a compass and guide for keeping TCA on its originally intended course in the present and future.

The Core Values are represented via parts of a tree: the Roots, Trunk, Branches, Leaves and Fruit.

LEAVES

TCA seeks to bring its philosophy to life through:

  • Home support for students to complete studies in a timely and acceptable manner
  • A curriculum review process which allows for parent input
  • Limiting use of personal electronic devices and cautious use of internet and media in instruction
  • Small group interactions such a Titan Teams, to ensure that every student has at least one key relationship with a staff member
  • Intentional character conversations
  • A capstone Senior year experience weaving together Rhetoric, Literature and Civics supported by a rich program of special events and traditions
  • The graduation tradition of parents handing diplomas to their own child

Each grade level will study at least 4 different Virtues in Action (VIA) character strengths this year. (See teacher’s newsletter.) 

Parents are encouraged to continue character discussions at home.
