From the Principal’s desk…
CSP PARENT SURVEY
Active Link is available Feb. 1 – 28.
Let’s beat the CSP participation number from last year -75%. Each parent may complete the survey. It takes 3-5 min. I’ll post the % returned each week so you know how close we are to reaching our goal! Across TCA K-12, we hope to top last year’s % of return!
CSP students may earn a Casual Day if we beat our % return!
Thank you for your valuable feedback on what’s working well in CSP and where we can improve. Our partnership with you is our #1 priority!

Mrs. Daum’s 4th graders shared pertinent points on what to do with disappointments in life, as part of their literature discussion last week.
- Disappointments build relationships because we share them with others and it helps us identify with people around us.
- When we are disappointed, sometimes there is something better out there for us.
- There are going to be disappointments in life. Sometimes we need to cry it out and then keep moving forward.
- We learn to try harder.
- Whether we win or lose, we can chose to enjoy the process.
- When things doing go our way, we have to keep trying.
Congratulations to our Spelling Bee finalist!

Cold and Flu Season
With flu season upon us, it is important that we all work together to keep our children healthy. Please be mindful of this when your child is sick and use caution when deciding whether to send them to school. If your child has flu-like symptoms, they must stay home for 24-hours after stopping medication that stops fever or other symptoms. We are taking precautionary measures by wiping down desktops, tabletops and doorknobs regularly. If we all partner together, we can stop these germs from continuing to spread throughout our community. Please contact your school nurse if you have any questions or concerns |

Teachers will note which character strengths were discussed each week so you may continue those conversations at home. CSP classes will also implement Peer Mentoring, i.e. pairing older and younger classes to engage in character discussions and activities together. Mentoring across grade levels is a part of the Board initiative for enriching TCA’s Character Education program. |
