CSP TITAN BUDDIES
Gr. 2 with 6th and 7th graders: First quarter we watched a video on kindness and made a kindness paper chain. Second quarter we read stories together and focused on generosity. Third quarter we studied teamwork and made a Grammar collage together. Fourth quarter we listened to each other's Classical Elements recitations.
Gr. 1 & 5th graders: lesson focused on kindness. The fifth graders helped the first graders write their animal reports. They asked the first graders leading questions like,
'Did you start with a capital letter?' and 'Did you end with a period?’ The fifth graders encouraged their young buddies, corrected their handwriting and grammar mistakes, and made this writing time together very enjoyable. They also helped the 1st graders learn how to cut out hearts for the Valentine cards they wrote in February. It has been fun to watch friendships grow between buddies this year. If you have a fifth grade CSP student at home, please thank them for their tremendous help and kindness.
Gr. 6 & 8th graders: lesson focused on leadership. 6th graders visited the 8th graders twice and listened to their invention reports, asked questions, and learned about JH through their mentors.
Gr. K and 3rd & 4th graders: lesson focused on forgiveness. The group did an experiment that represented how we forgive someone else or ourselves. They read a short story about forgiveness and then shared about a time when they needed to forgive.
CSP EVENING OF THE ARTS
THE CSP COMMUNITY IS VERY PROUD OF OUR 7th AND 8th GR. THESPIANS who entertained us with two fine performances of
Peter Pan last Thursday. Thank you to our hard-working CP interns, our multi-talented production assistant, Brittany Fontana, and our very own shining star, Mrs. Paula Higgins, Musical Theater Director. Over 450 people attended the 1st show + 150 folks at the 2nd show. We appreciate the incredible support of our TCA & CSP homeschool communities.
CSP IS EQUALLY IMPRESSED WITH OUR K-8 ARTISTS who displayed a wide variety of classical art projects at the Annual Art Show. We’re grateful for the extra effort put forth by Brittany Fontana, CSP Art Aide, Debbie Smith, CSP Art Teacher, and several CSP moms who arranged beautiful displays for all to enjoy!
Special thanks to our CSP staff who worked Thursday evening to support these memorable Fine Arts events.
Warmly,
Susan Nosal |
