From the Principal’s desk…

Hello CSP parents,

It’s that time of year! Every year, TCA receives additional federal funding based on the return of the FEDERAL IMPACT AID forms. Each CSP family is asked to sign their form at CSP conferences. If you don’t sign the form at that time, please come to the CSP office and sign your form before the Oct. 25 deadline. CSP Elem. and CSP JH will each receive a $400 incentive from D20 if we achieve 100% return. We greatly appreciate your support. PLEASE SIGN YOUR FEDERAL IMPACT AID FORM. (See more info below.)

Sincerely,

Susan Nosal

IMPORTANT DATES - CSP Calendar of Events

LAST WEEK! OCTOBER COUNT DAY (use this new blurb)

Students please attend class on these dates

It is imperative that CSP students attend class on their usual day of the week, throughout Colorado's “Count Window” (Sept. 25-Oct. 19). Student attendance during this time dictates our state funding. Since Conferences and Fall Break occur in the middle of this window, there are required days when your student needs to be in class. Students should attend all of their usual class days if possible. Please try to make arrangements for travel and absences outside of these dates.

All Monday students must be in class Oct. 16.

All Tuesday students must be in class Oct 17.

All Wednesday students must be in class Oct. 18

All Thursday students must be in class Oct. 19.

M/W Kinder students must be in class Oct. 16.

T/TH Kinder students must be in class Oct. 17.

If your student misses any required October dates, the TCA Registrar will contact your family to submit a ‘Letter of Intent to Return to CSP’ ( different from the ‘Letter of Intent to Homeschool’ form).

Mentoring across grade levels is a part of the Board initiative for enriching TCA’s Character Education program.

SILVER GRAPHICS ART FUNDRAISER

More information will be coming home with your student. (Purchasing items is optional.)

IEW DVD's

Do you need extra guidance on how to help your child with their IEW KWO, Sloppy copies, Dress-ups and Clinchers? Good news! CSP’s Lending Library has two sets of IEW DVDs for parents to view here at CSP. We will set you up with our laptop and the DVD’s in-house. All you need to bring is a set of ear buds. Please contact Ruth Kozyra, rkozyra@asd20.org to arrange a date and time that will work best for your viewing.

FIELD TRIP CHAPERONES

Each class greatly appreciates our parent chaperones! In an effort to further ensure the safety of our students, TCA and Academy School District 20 require that all field trip chaperones and regularly-scheduled classroom helpers complete a background check and confidentiality agreement prior to chaperoning or working with our students. Please complete the Volunteer forms by clicking this link, and return to the CSP office.
If you were an approved volunteer during the 2016-17 school year, you do not need to fill out a new packet.
