From the Principal’s desk…

Hello CSP parents,

Next Monday our staff will attend the TCA All-Staff In-Service featuring David and Jeanne Heidler, authors of Washington’s Circle: The Creation of the President. They will speak about the exemplary civility, character, and leadership George Washington modeled during his life. The staff has read this book and will discuss these pertinent topics further in small group sessions. The Sept.-Oct. issues of the Palmarium focus on the topic of civility also. I encourage you to browse George Washington’s Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior. This document is rich with ideas for family discussion.

Fall Break is next week (Oct. 10-14). Students do not attend class during Teacher-Teacher Conferences the following week (Oct. 17-20). Homework will be assigned for that week. Classes resume Mon. Oct. 24. Thank you for your unwavering support of CSP. Enjoy your break!

Sincerely,

Susan Nosal

NEW FIELD TRIP CHAPERONES AT TCA
As you know, TCA students, staff, and parents enjoy a warm, caring community that fosters the highest standards of academic, social, and emotional growth. The efforts of our parent & non-parent volunteers are a vital part of that community. In an effort to further ensure the safety of our students, TCA and Academy School District 20 require that all field trip chaperones and regularly-scheduled classroom helpers complete a background check and confidentiality agreement prior to chaperoning or working with our students. Please complete the Volunteer forms through this link and return them to the office.

If you were an approved volunteer during the 2015-16 school year, you do not need to fill out a new packet. Also, CSP will NOT need volunteer drivers for field trips this year.

**Approved volunteer chaperones are required to ride the bus and may not bring siblings.
