HFNZ AGM
The 2022 HFNZ annual general meeting is scheduled for Sunday 27 November at 10am. This important event will take place at the Novotel Auckland Ellerslie. The AGM will also be live-streamed via Zoom.

The AGM is an essential part of the running of HFNZ. Any HFNZ member is welcome to attend in person, or via the Zoom live-stream. Please note that attending via Zoom will allow you to see and hear what's going on, but not be actively involved by speaking and asking questions. If you have any questions you’d like raised at the AGM please send to info@haemophilia.org.nz, and we’ll forward them to the President.

Official notification of the AGM will be emailed later this week, and will include the Zoom link.
Adult Wellness Weekend
HFNZadmin
Coming up on 25-27 November is the HFNZ Adult Wellness Weekend. This special weekend is for adults aged 18+ who have a bleeding disorder, and their partners. The theme this year is The ties that bind us.

The lower age limit has recently been adjusted by the Board, to increase participation, and facilitate growth. If you are 18+, and haven't registered yet. Now is your last chance!
This weekend is an opportunity for adults with bleeding disorders to openly discuss their experiences, challenges, and concerns about living and aging with a bleeding disorder. The focus of the weekend is to increase knowledge about bleeding disorders, about upcoming trends and treatments, about aging with a bleeding disorder, and about the provision of health care in New Zealand, as well as learning about HFNZ and its activities.
Southern outreach trip

As each HFNZ outreach worker has such a large geographical area to cover, they try to get out for a road trip or two each year. This allows them to visit all corners of their region, and connect with members who might not otherwise be able to.

Southern outreach worker, Tara, is looking at two trips in the next few months. One down south to Dunedin, and another to the Nelson region. While Dunedin and Nelson are the ultimate destination for these trips, there may well be stops along the way. If there are a number of members who would like to connect at other points of the journey, that can be arranged. Now is a great time to get that planning underway.

If you're interested in connecting with Tara while she is on either of her outreach trips, please let her know by emailing her at tara@haemophilia.org.nz or by messaging her on 021 656 804.

Central members are invited to the 2022 Central Xmas party!

Please RSVP by 10th November to Ashley Fowlie at 027 535 9595. Please advise the number of adults/children and any dietary requirements when you RSVP.

You are welcome to come for all/part of the event please just indicate on RSVP.

Keep your member details up to date
In order to get the most out of your membership, it's important to keep your details up to date. The key details are email address and date of birth.

Posting invitations and information to members is an expensive business, and where possible we would prefer to make contact electronically. If you have an email address, but you're not sure that we have it, please let us know.

If we have no DOB for you we can't filter you in to age-based mailing lists, like Adult Weekend, Youth Camp, and Women's Weekend. Again, if you're not sure that we have your DOB, please let us know.
