How to Find Old Tuesday Tips & Other Helpful Hints |

We have an archive of old Tuesday Tips emails for you to access at anytime and want to be sure you know how to find it because chances are, we've covered many of the issues you are facing in one of those emails. So to make it easy, the button below will take you to the archive.
You may also access it by going to our website, www.townhallinc.com. Click on Current Customer Support in the upper right corner. On the support page, scroll down to the second set of option and Tuesday Tips is on the right side. In that section is a button that will take you to the archive. |

We know that right now, many of you are issuing taxpayer refunds. You may recall that there was a Tuesday Tips back in October on how to establish a generic vendor so you can issue all the refund checks under the same vendor. That Tuesday Tips is available in the archive. One highlight in that email is that you MUST create a unique invoice number for each refund issued. If you try to use only the date or use "Refund" as the identifier, the system will not see these as separate amounts and it will try to run the total as one refund check.
If you use the date as shown in Number 1 below, you must add a letter or number or letter/number combination to make each one unique. Here, as in the example, it would be 2016-10-06A, 2016-10-06B, 2016-10-06C, etc. Or 2016-10-06-01, 2016-10-06-02, 2016-10-06-03, etc. |

Another thing many of you may be working on is budgeting. To access totals for 2016 for reports 4,5, and 6 make sure your GL month is set to 12. |

By setting the GL month to 12 you get a report which pulls in 2016 numbers for Year to Date.
