State Council Works on Advocacy Priorities for 2021.
With the legislative session scheduled to start in February, the Oregon Council with support from TU staff is working on our Advocacy Priorities for the coming year.
Prime candidates for our focus will be:
In-Stream Flows for Fish
Wild and Scenic Rivers
Fish Passage
Hatchery Reform
Chapter representatives and Council Staff worked on these priorities in a recent meeting and will be presented in our winter meeting for review by members.

Marc Williamson:
Reading and Fishing Spring Creeks
Marc will cover all of components of defining, reading, fishing, spring creeks. I will discuss special techniques for casting on spring creeks, as well wading, common mistakes made on spring creeks. At the conclusion of this presentation you should feel confident to go out and fish spring creeks no matter where they are.

Sign Up For Christmas for Coho Tree Collection
TVTU and CRTU will again be hosting christmas tree collection at Royal Treatment Fly Shop and NW Fly Fishing Outfitters Fly shop this year. Trees will be used for habitat enhancement in the Lower Clackamas and other locations.
Volunteer dates are January 2/3 and 9/10. January 2 and 9 are tree collection days and are set up to be safely socially distant. January 3 and 10 dates are tree loading and moving days where volunteers are especially needed.
