Dick is past president of the Clackamas River Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Past chapter president, native Oregonian and long-time resident of Estacada.

CRTU is pleased to host Dick Hollenbeck at our January meeting.

Dick will present some fascinating facts, pictures and perspective on the Clackamas River, early discoveries and historical uses (and abuses) of the river.  

Dick was head of the Landscape Architecture and Nursery Science department at Rock Creek Community College before he retired to a life of fishing and working with Trout Unlimited and other conservation groups to improve fish and riparian habitat.

Christmas for Coho 

Bring your used Christmas trees to the West Linn Fire Department (next to Royal Treatment Fly Shop) or NW Fly Fishing Outfitters to use for fish habitat in the lower Clackamas River.  January 5 and January 12 are the collection days.  Do your neighbors a favor by picking up their trees and taking them into the collection site.  $10 donation for each tree.  

Contact Mike Gentry if you are interested in helping out with this event.  

Sandy River Steelhead Guided Trip Auction!

CRTU will be auctioning one seat on a guided steelhead fishing trip on the Sandy River with Marty Sheppard!  Marty is a friend of the chapter and has an open seat to share with an angler that donates the highest bid to the chapter.  The trip date is February 5th.

This live auction will be held at the end of our January 8 chapter meeting.  Be there to win!

Thanks so much for those that donated to our year end campaign.  The general fund helps us carry on with our Youth Camp and kids fishing days.  We also use our general fund to match grants for fish passage and restoration projects in our region.  Thank you and have a great 2019!
