Fly Fishing for Bass with Colby Olson
Colby specializes in chasing smallmouth bass with large streamers on the Willamette river and its tributaries via drift boat. I prefer to fly fish for them, but conventional is available as well. Smallmouth bass are fantastic and often very aggressive. You are guaranteed a good time, whether we're throwing large streamers or top water flies. My clients learn modern tactics, tackle, and flies to jumpstart their adventure into bass fishing. This pursuit can really pay benefits when temperatures are far too high for targeting trout and steelhead, pivoting to a warm water fish allows one to keep fishing in the dog days of summer.

Do you know a budding young angler that wants to learn about fishing and how watersheds work? Send them to us for our 2025 Youth Fly Fishing and Conservation Camp. Boys and Girls ages 10-14 are welcome in our camp for 4 days and 3 nights of fly fishing fun! $250/camper.
Camp is June 26-29.
