Rickard's Callebaetis Nymph

|
The Rickards Callibaetis Nymph is a great lake pattern that can be fished to trout that are active near the bank when mayflies are hatching. Fish will often take the nymph or emerger better than the adult/dry version. Fished on an intermediate sink line, this pattern can be deadly in the spring and fall.

Materials you need to bring for tying night. |

Equipment
A vise
Scissors
Tying thread, black and a bobbin
A bodkin (sharp pointed tool for picking out mohair)
A whip finish tool is handy but not required.
Hooks, size 8 or 10 3X long (Carey Special)
Hooks, size 14 straight nymph hooks for the callebaetis.
Materials
Carey Special
Peacock Herl
Pheasant Rump if you have some
gold/silver mylar ribbing.
Callebaetis
Mallard flank dyed wood duck
Grizzly hackle, natural or orange
Squirrel or hares ear dubbing.
