Stream Girls Volunteers Needed!
This event is canceled.
Steelhead Surveys
NOT CANCELED!
Contace River Steenson below to sign up. The surveys will start very soon!
Our Chapter has been selected to conduct Redd Surveys again on the Table Rock Fork of the Molalla River, and Camp Creek.
This is critical data that ODFW needs to manage steelhead populations in the Willamette Valley. Angler Science to the rescue! CRTU volunteers can help fill this need.
Surevys are likely to begin the 1st week of April.
Facts to consider before you sign up:
The Surveys are moderately strenuous. Our reach is typically about a mile long and we are wading upstream to count redds and possibly spot some fish. Having said that, it's a great workout and the chance to see a steelhead spawn in the wild is pretty rare (salmon are much easier to spot)
Contact River Steenson if you are interested
Pelican Salmon Run March 28th in Tillamook!

Youth Camp
July 23-29
At this time, we are still planing to hold our Youth Fly Fishing and Conservation camp July 23-27. We are watching the situation closely and will update those campers that have registered if this situation changes.
We still have 3 slots reserved for young lady anglers. If you have a young lady that would like to learn about fly fishing and watershed conservation, please contact Dave Tenney for registration details.
Outings
Our first outing is April 24-26 at Twin Lakes. We are still holding this date until further information changes this outing. Stay tuned for more info from the newsletter and on Facebook.
The Outing schedule is up on our Website!
Check here for the Outing Schedule
Weekend outings are held at public lands campsites in Western Oregon throughout the year. Some of the camps like Timothy Lake in June and Fall River in September are very popluar and reservable sites go quickly. Make your plans early for outings you want to attend.
Campgrounds do have First Come First Serve sites available and you can team up with a member arriving early, or planning to arrive on a Thursday of the outing weekend will usually get you a spot.
Fall River Outing
The Fall River Campground has changed to a reservation system for our dates on September 24-28. There are far fewer First Come sites available.
If you plan on attending, visit Recreation.Gov to reserve a site starting March 24. (6-month rolling window) |
