Sorry to report that we will continue holding our meetings on Zoom for the forseable future.  When the pandemic settles down we will return to a hybrid format where meetings are in person but will also be broadcast live on zoom.  

 

Bob VanDyk from the Wild Salmon Center, TU staff, and other conservation groups worked with 13 timber groups to forge a new plan for how forest land is to be managed into the future.  Here's an article from OPB that describes the process.  Many Thanks to Chrysten Rivard, TU Oregon Staff director for her work on this critical topic.

 

 

 

 

 

Marc has a wealth of knowledge in fishing still water.  Many anglers that are comfortable in rivers, will scratch their head on where to start in a lake.  

 

Marc will share the 4 basic needs of trout in lakes and how this knowledge will help in your fishing success.

Our chapter has received full funding for this project from 3 separate grants:

Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB).  

ODOT/ODFW Fish Passage Mitigation Fund.

National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF)

 

The chapter will work cooperatively with ODFW to select contractors and oversee the work.  

 

This is exciting news for our chapter as it gives more opportunity to demostrate the vaue of Trout Unlimited to our agency partners.

 

River Steenson and Terry Turner will share the Project Coordinator role on this project.

 

 

 

 

Bob Clement has joined CRTU leadership acting  Vice President and also. was elected to our board of directors.  Bob and Ruth Ann Tsukuda, our president have been working on improving our focus on Diversity and Inclusion.  

 

Bob is a public health nurse and we thank him for taking the time to join our chapter leadership.
