Fishing the McKenzie with John Wall.

We welcome John Wall to our chapter meeting this month.  John will share tips and methods on fishing the McKenzie near Eugene.

The McKenzie River is one of Oregon’s crown jewels for fly anglers.  Originating in the high Cascades, it flows westward into the Willamette River. Fish in the McKenzie and some of its tributaries include resident rainbow, bull and cutthroat trout as well as spring Chinook salmon and whitefish.

Come with your questions for John on fishing these waters.
About John:

John Wall has been guiding on the McKenzie since 2008 and also has worked as a fly fishing instructor, and in retail fly fishing shops.  The first fly shop he worked for was Northwest Flyfishing Outfitters. In 2018, John, along with his wife Monica and their partner Jason Osborn, opened The Portland Fly Shop on NW Glisan Street.

It's Donation Season:  Please consider CRTU in your giving plans

Our annual letter will be coming out soon.  CRTU had a great year.  We hosted a successful youth fly fishing camp and and continued to solidify our partnership with ODFW and Mt. Hood National Forest in getting real restoration projects done on the water.

You can return the donation envelope with a check or use the convenient secure link below to donate with a credit or debit card.

Donations to CRTU will only be used for chapter projects and events.

Thanks for being members and supporting our chapter!
