Greetings from True Hope!

Greetings!
Well, we are just one week away from the end of the world!
Have you made all your preparations, do you have a good supply of food, water, guns, ammunition, gold and a good cave to take refuge in?
That's right! Just a few short days from now, on December 21, it has been prophesied that the world is going to undergo a cataclysmic conclusion!
That's right! The Mayan people, the Hopi's along with the I'Ching and a number of other pagan, demonic religious systems from long ago have allegedly forecast that this is the end of the road for planet earth as we know it - - and the end of humanity as we know it as well!
Actually, if you have bought into any of this over the last few years, even a little bit, you have fallen into the worst sort of satanic trap - - you have placed confidence in a satanic counterfeit over the Word of God!!!
December 22, the world will still be here, no collapse, no cataclysm, no planetary disaster, no world-wide upheaval and the world system will continue on just as it has - - with one exception: God's people who have fallen for this deception will be faced with an overwhelming decision - - to either truly, genuinely, deeply and sincerely repent to God for accepting satanic deception as genuine truth - - OR - - try to figure out a way to just laugh it off, make as though you did not REALLY fall for the lie and do all you can to save face!
Which do you think that satan will try to convince God's people to do? Certainly not to repent!!!
I suggest that IF you have been one of those who have fallen for this spiritual counterfeit, OR if you know those of God's people who have fallen for this scheme, repent NOW!
Make the decision NOW that regardless what may or may not happen on ANY GIVEN DAY, you will commit yourself to being devoted to only the One True God trusting in Him alone and accepting only His Word to be your foundation and standard of Truth for your life!
If you want genuine freedom and peace, don't be taken in by the words of false religions, remember that Jesus assures us that only by continuing in HIS WORD will we find freedom - - freedom from deception, fear, torment, and freedom to do what God says is right! And by the way, Jesus also assures us that when we are committed to His Word we will have His peace ruling over us, the peace that passes all understanding!
MANY BLESSINGS!

It's a favorite phrase among "Church People", it's a popular phrase among "Christians" ... you can find it in Bible Book Stores, slogans on bookmarkers and bumper stickers, it is line sold on wall hangings and posters and it is almost never accurate, complete and therefore not correct!
What are we talking about? As sold in the marketplace it reads:
"As for me and my house we shall serve the Lord!"
Sounds inspiring doesn't it? The problem is that in this context it is really little more than a "pep rally" phrase, stirring up our emotions to make us believe that we are deciding to be faithful to the Lord - - every time we see it on the wall where it is hung!
There is so much more to this and it is far beyond the time that God's people must come to examine themselves, their lifestyles, their priorities and loyalties by reading what Joshua really said!
Just as Joshua was completing his earthly assignment, knowing that he would no longer be present to oversee the people's faithfulness, he gave a long message that included this challenge:
-
Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.
-
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
-
And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the Lord, to serve other gods; Joshua 24:14-16
We are in the time of history which God's people are being called to make a clear, distinct, definite choice as to whom we serve, whose we are and to whom we belong!
We are being challenged by our Heavenly Father to determine if in fact we are going to be faithful to Him or not!
The time of playing games is not only over, it is far past! The world and the god of this world is unleashing every bit of relentless assault possible against those who claim to be God's own people inn order to cause us to stumble and fall, to fail in our spiritual fellowship with God and our service in His ministry!
There is a particular news commentator who has lately been publicly asking the question: "Where are the church leaders! Christianity is being assaulted and attacked and the church leaders are silent! Where are the church leaders?"
Saints - - we can no longer wait for "church leaders" to lead in the defense of our faith - - far too many of them have sold out to Mammon! Far too many of them have become complacent and protective of their own little kingdoms, some of which have thousands and thousands of members!
Just as Joshua spoke to the PEOPLE of his day, God is speaking to the PEOPLE OF OUR DAY and He is asking us
- Will you finally sever all hold you have kept on the false gods and spiritual powers that oppose the One True God?
- Will you serve The Lord sincerely, with pure motives and genuine devotion?
- OR - - As you read the complete teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ, DOES IT SEEM EVIL TO YOU TO SERVE GOD IN THE WAYS HE HAS INSTRUCTED?
- MAKE UP YOUR MIND! DECIDE WHO YOU WILL SERVE!
- Are you going to continue serving the false religion that man has made to replace the simple, sincere, pure faith in Christ Jesus as Lord?
- OR ARE YOU GOING TO SERVE THE ONE TRUE GOD BY FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS THE LORD?
- Will you set the example for your family of what it is to truly serve the Lord?
- Will you stand
FOR righteousness?
- Will you stand
AGAINST sin and iniquity?
- Will you obey what God tells us to do - - or will you continue to decide for yourself which of the Lord's instructions and commands you will refuse to obey by rationalizing that Jesus did not really mean what He said?
- Will you show your house what it is to serve the Lord?
Will you truly declare - - "God forbid that we should forsake the Lord to serve other gods!"?
Jesus asked it this way: "Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" Luke 18
The choice you make shows the reality of your faith! Choose well!
Many Blessings!
Dr. Timothy

In reading the following article, let us consider 2 Corinthians 4:3-4
Another Article Warning of "Chrislam"
California Church To Become Site Of
Islamist Convention
From: Frontpage Mag.com
The Muslim Public Affairs Council’s choice of location for its 12th Annual Convention on December 15 is telling: The All Saints Episcopal Church of Pasadena, California. The group, founded by Muslim Brotherhood followers, says this is the “next step in its mission by crossing the interfaith line.” Yet again, the Islamists are taking advantage of naïve Christians with a desire to show off their tolerance.
The All Saints Episcopal Church of Pasadena started an Interfaith Study Group in 2007 with the Pasadena Jewish Temple and the Islamic Center of Southern California (ICSC), from which MPAC originated. The organization was founded as a branch of ICSC in 1986 and then became independent in 1988, though the two remain intertwined. The ICSC is proud of its interfaith successes. For example, the First United Methodist Church of Santa Monica is allowing the ICSC to hold Friday prayers there every week.
The story of MPAC begins with Hassan and Maher Hathout, the former of whom died in 2009. The brothers became active with the Muslim Brotherhood at an early age, with Hassan Hathout saying that its founder, Hassan al-Banna, is “the person who most influenced my life” and that “centuries might roll over before a similar personality is produced.” Maher Hathout was arrested in Egypt, where the Muslim Brotherhood was banned, and released in 1968. Three years later, they moved to Buffalo, New York and went to California to establish the ICSC in 1978.
Hassan Hathout says they sought to begin the “Islamic Movement” in the U.S., a term the Brotherhood uses to describe its ideology. In 1997, he predicted its success because “America needs Islam. If you look objectively you will see that this current civilization harbors in its body the seeds of its own destruction.” The language is very similar to that of a 1991 U.S. Muslim Brotherhood strategy document where it defines its “work in America as a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within.” Another U.S. Muslim Brotherhood document from 1989 from its Financial Committee refers to a person with the last name of Hathout as someone “in the field.”
Maher Hathout has served as a senior adviser to MPAC since its beginning at the ICSC in 1986 and is still a spokesman for the mosque. The ICSC recommends the work of Sheikh Yousef al-Qaradawi, a senior Brotherhood cleric that supports terrorism, Hamas and preaches a strategy of “gradualism” towards implementing Sharia Law. It also suggests a book on Islamic law called Fiqh-us-Sunnah authored by Brotherhood member Sayyid Saabiq under the guidance of Hassan al-Banna.
In 1998, Maher Hathout defended Hezbollah as “legitimate,” saying they are “fighting to liberate their land.” He also entertains 9/11 conspiracy theories suggesting that the U.S. government is lying about the identities of the hijackers. The current President of MPAC, Salam al-Marayati, likewise said in 1999 that Hezbollah engages in “legitimate resistance.” His immediate response to the 9/11 attacks were to point his finger at Israel.
MPAC’s former Political Director, Mahdi Bray, used to lead the Muslim American Society’s Freedom Foundation. The Muslim American Society is a Brotherhood front. He spoke in support of the Muslim Brotherhood in 2007 during a visit to Egypt. In March 2004, he condemned the killing of Hamas founder Ahmed Yassin as “state-sponsored terrorism.” In 2000, he stood on stage as Abdurrahman Alamoudi, who later was convicted on terrorism-related charges, publicly praised Hamas and Hezbollah. He joined the crowd in their displays of approval.
MPAC’s Policy and Programming Director, Edina Lekovic, was the editor of a Muslim student magazine in the 1990s called Al-Talib. In July 1999, it told Muslims to defend Osama Bin Laden when he’s called a “terrorist” because he’s a “freedom fighter.” By that time, Al-Qaeda had already declared war on the U.S. and bombed the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998. Al-Talib management also told readers to reject the “twentieth-century version of Islam in the West,” an Islamist theme. Lekovic’s name also appears on an issue from May 1999 alleging that the Holocaust was exaggerated.
In 2003, MPAC stood against the labeling of Hamas, Hezbollah and Palestinian Islamic Jihad as terrorist organizations. In March 2009, demonstrators at an MPAC-sponsored rally chanted in support of Hamas and the elimination of Israel. A policy paper from 2010 titled Building Bridges to Strengthen America treats the Muslim Brotherhood favorably, calling it a “conservative” group that can help the U.S. combat terrorism.
MPAC’s initial reaction to the recent fighting between Israel and Hamas was to accuse Israel of “assassination of Palestinian leaders, destruction of Gazan infrastructure and the gross killings of Palestinian civilians, including women and children.” The statement did not condemn Hamas. Instead, it legitimized the terrorist group by saying Israel is guilty of the “greatest act of violence” and is responsible for the ongoing conflict.
On November 24, MPAC changed its tune a bit in a joint statement with the Abrahamic Faiths Peacemaking Initiative that called on both Israel and Hamas to end their attacks. It said, “There is no excuse for the indiscriminate firing of rockets onto civilians, nor terrorism.”
MPAC explains that the holding of its convention at the All Saints Episcopal Church of Pasadena is a reflection of its focus on winning allies among other faiths. It boasts of establishing partnerships with the National Association of Evangelicals, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the Catholic Archdiocese, the African Methodist Episcopal Church, the Union of Reform Judaism and other faith groups. MPAC and similar groups like the Islamic Society of North America have created an interfaith bloc willing to defend them against Rep. Michele Bachmann and other opponents.
If MPAC’s convention is like past ones, Islamists will again be given a platform to rally Muslims to their cause, but this time, it won’t be in a mosque or a hotel conference room. It’ll be from a church pulpit.

WHAT ARE ANGELS?
By Pastor James Kelm
True Hope Church of Duluth
www.thcduluth.org
Images of angels are found throughout our society. There are those who have angel statues in their homes, others have angel figurines placed within their automobiles, and others speak openly about their "guardian angels". Some believe that angels are our loved ones who have passed away, while others regard angels as nothing more than a product of our creative imagination.
While the subject of angels is discussed among Christians and non-Christians alike, rarely do we ever undertake a serious examination of exactly what Scripture tells us about this topic. In this article I want to examine the topic of angels from a biblical viewpoint, and explore exactly what God's word tells us about them. Are angels real, where did they come from, what is their function and exactly who are angels according to God?
I will begin by looking at the reality of angels. Do angels really exist, or are they simply a product of our overly active imagination? As with any and all questions, we must turn to what the Holy Scriptures tells us concerning a given subject! When it comes to the topic of angels, Scripture is clear.
- "And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground." Genesis 19:1
- "And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city." Genesis 19:15
- "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." Psalms 91:11
- "Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him." Matthew 4:11
- "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory." Matthew 25:31
- "Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?" Matthew 26:53
These are only a few of the many verses found within the Holy Scriptures, testifying to the reality of angels. Not only does Scripture tell us that angels are real and active, but it further tells us that their number is vast.
- "As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me." Jeremiah 33:22
- "And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands." Revelation 5:11
So we see that not only do angels actually exist, but that they are countless in number.
If angels actually exist, where do they come from? Are they the celestial representation of our loved one's who have died? Although it is a popular belief that angels are actually members of humanity who have passed away; Scripture tells us a quite different story.
Within Scripture, the term of "host" is commonly used as being synonymous with the term "angels". We learn from Scripture not only that angels exist, but also we learn exactly when they were created by God. "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them." Genesis 2:1 From this verse we learn that not only did God create angels during the earliest part of general creation, but that upon their creation, just as with heaven and earth, their creation "was finished".
- The number of angels does not decrease or increase over the passing of time.
- Angels do not die, nor are they born. Angels were not created as part of the progression of human existence, but rather angels were created as a different and uniquely separate part of God's creation.
- Human beings do not become angels, and angels are not an aspect of human evolution.
As we learn from Scripture, angels do exist, they were created by God as a separate and unique part of creation, and their number is vast.
What we may now be asking ourselves, "are there different kinds of angels", and "what is their function". In general, there seems to be three different categories of angels. There may be further divisions within these three primary categories with a distinct "ranking system", but for this study I will only focus on the main categories of angels.
Each of these categories appears to have specific roles or functions, although there also appears to be some overlapping of these functions. The word "angel" comes from the Greek word "angelos" which means "messenger", so it is clear that one of the functions of angels is as a messenger between God and human beings here on earth (Luke 1:11-20, Luke 2:9-14).
Angels have a number of additional functions:
- They praised God (Psalm 103:20),
- Watched over God's people ( Psalm 91:11-12),
- Were sometimes instruments of God's judgment ( Matthew 13:49-50)
- They carry out the will of God ( Psalm 103:20; Matthew 6:10),
- They worship God and Christ ( Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:6),
- They are wise ( 2 Samuel 14:20),
- They are mighty ( Psalm 103:20),
- They are holy ( Matthew 25:31),
- They are innumerable, ( Hebrews 12:22).
Angels are very active throughout Scripture. The book of Revelation alone gives us a very clear picture of Angels and many of their functions.

CLEANSING THE WICKED RESIDUE
From Jerry Williams, Epic
Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.
James 1:19-22 NASB
It was a cold morning in south Texas which triggered some wonderful old memories of drinking hot apple cider during the holidays when I lived in Indiana as a young man. Therefore, instead of preparing my normal mug of coffee I headed straight to the cupboard and grabbed a large holiday mug along with an individual apple cider packet. All I needed now was a cup of hot water and my memories would be reborn into reality. Surprisingly the smell of the fake apple cider was remarkably similar to the smells I remembered from the fresh cider made daily at the orchards just down the road in central Indiana.
I couldn’t wait to taste that first sip of hot cider with a dash of cinnamon and feel the warmth of the mug around my cold fingers. Finally it was ready and I settled in with my blanket and my bible to joyfully partake of this winter time pleasure. As I carefully took that first sip my immediate response was Ugh! It tasted like I had just placed a teaspoon of hot grease in my mouth with a hint of apple.
Then I remembered this was the mug Donna had often used to pour grease drippings in from the skillet while cooking bacon. I remember my grandmother used to do the same thing saving the grease to season other holiday dishes such as green beans.
Although the mug had been thoroughly washed there was still an invisible residue of grease that became exposed only when the hot cider was poured in.
The heat exposed the problem. As the hot cider steeped in the mug it drew out the old, invisible grease residue. I have since washed that mug several times by hand, but still to this day any hot liquids eventually draw out the taste and residue of grease.
In the above scripture verse 21 directs us to cast aside ALL filthiness and ALL THAT REMAINS OF WICKEDNESS. This word in the Greek is
perisseia which could also be translated
surplusage, superabundance, that which remains, residue.
This word in context comes just after we are commanded to be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger. Notice how there is an expectation on God’s part that WE who love Him will choose to put away ALL filthiness and everything that remains to be contaminated with RESIDUE from our past lives. God has done what He promised by making us a NEW creation in Christ wherein ALL things are NEW and the old way of thinking and living have been fully cleansed and redeemed by the blood of His Son. Yeah God! Yet, for most of us whenever the heat is turned up in our daily lives we find that old taste and residue of grease all too often becoming visible and ruining everything.
Almost without fail whenever anyone comes and stays with us for any length of time it’s only a matter of days before everything in their lives starts to get turned upside down. Sometimes they think we are the problem and blame us. Oftentimes they run around rebuking and blaming the devil.
The truth is the majority of the time it’s nothing more than the heat getting turned up and the old, invisible residue that was already in place in their heart now becoming exposed. Before they came to us they were just hanging out inside the cabinet being one of the premier mugs on the shelf. However, after awhile they became unsatisfied spending all their time just hanging out in the cabinet sitting on the shelf.
Therefore, they sought us out for counsel and direction hoping to find their way out of the cabinet and into the hands of God’s purpose and destiny for their lives. That’s when the hot cider started flowing releasing the heat which then uncovered some terrible tasting residue from their past. Many of them run right back into the cabinet to sit back on the shelf until the smell and taste go away. Only a small number yield to the continual rigorous hand washings of the Holy Spirit they have to endure if they are ever going to be once and for all rid of the residue.
The choice is theirs. God will let them sit in the cabinet as long as they choose to do so. As for me and my house, we tore down all the cabinets.
Psalm 34:8 says, ‘Taste and see that the Lord is good!’
As His beloved children we are called to imitate our heavenly Father in every way (Eph. 5:1).
Anyone who tastes or smells the presence of God is never disappointed. So here’s the question:
If anyone were to get a taste of our lives today would they momentarily close their eyes and say, Yummmm? Or once they have taken a sip from the cup of our lives would they be startled and cry out, Ugh?
May God give us all the courage to get rid of the grease so that we will smell like the Rose of Sharon and taste like the Bread of Life.

WAITING ON GOD
For All Saints
"Let none that wait on Thee be ashamed." (Psalm 25:3)
|
Let us now, in our meditation of today, each one forget himself, to think of the great company of God, saints throughout the world, who are all with us waiting on Him. And let us all join in the fervent prayer for each other, "Let none that wait on Thee be ashamed."
Just think for a moment of the multitude of waiting ones who need that prayer; how many there are, sick and weary and solitary, to whom it is as if their prayers are not answered, and who sometimes begin to fear that their hope will be put to shame. And then, how many servants of God, ministers or missionaries, teachers or workers, of various name, whose hopes in their work have been disappointed, and whose longing for power and blessing remains unsatisfied. And then, too, how many, who have heard of a life of rest and perfect peace, of abiding light and fellowship, of strength and victory, and who cannot find the path. With all these, it is nothing but that they have not yet learned the secret of full waiting upon God. They just need, what we all need, the living assurance that Waiting on God can never be in vain. Let us remember all who are in danger of fainting or being weary, and all unite in the cry, "Let none that wait on Thee be ashamed!"
If this intercession for all who wait on God becomes part of our waiting on Him for ourselves, we shall help to bear each other's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. There will be introduced into our Waiting on God that element of unselfishness and love, which is the path to the highest blessing, and the fullest communion with God. Love to the brethren and love to God are inseparably linked. In God, the love to His Son
and to us are one: "That the love wherewith Thou hast loved Me, may be in them." In Christ, the love of the Father to Him, and His love to us, are one: "As the Father loved me, so have I loved you." In us, He asks that
His love to us shall be ours to the brethren: "As I have loved you, that ye love one another." All the love of God, and of Christ, are inseparably linked with love to the brethren. And how can we, day by day, prove and cultivate this love otherwise than by daily praying for each other? Christ did not seek to enjoy the Father's love for Himself; He passed it all on to us. All true seeking of God and His love for ourselves, will be inseparably linked with the thought and the love of our brethren in prayer for them.
'Let none that wait on Thee be ashamed.' Twice in the psalm David speaks of his Waiting on God for himself; here he thinks of
all who wait on Him. Let this page take the message to all God's tried and weary ones, that there are more praying for them than they know. Let it stir them and us in our waiting to make a point of at times forgetting ourselves, and to enlarge our hearts, and say to the Father, "
These all wait upon Thee, and Thou givest them their meat in due season." Let it inspire us all with new courage—for who is there who is not at times ready to faint and be weary? "Let none that wait on Thee be ashamed" is a promise in a prayer, "They that wait on Thee shall not be ashamed!" From many and many a witness the cry comes to every one who needs the help, brother, sister, tried one, "Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that wait on the Lord."
Blessed Father! We humbly beseech Thee, Let none that wait on Thee be ashamed; no, not one. Some are weary, and the time of waiting appears long. And some are feeble, and scarcely know how to wait. And some are so entangled in the effort of their prayers and their work, they think that they can find no time to wait continually. Father, teach us all how to wait. Teach us to think of each other, and pray for each other. Teach us to think of Thee, the God of all waiting ones. Father! Let none that wait on Thee be ashamed. For Jesus' sake. Amen.
"My soul, wait thou only upon God!"
Waiting on God.
