Greetings from True Hope!
Greetings!
Are you being fruitful?
Jesus declared that we know men by their fruit and so we need to examine ourselves - our lives and our ministries - to know if we are being fruitful and if so what kind of fruit is it?
Is it good fruit or is it bad fruit?
Sadly, the conventional church community has defined fruit to mean numbers - amounts and quantities and so often when we are asked if we are being fruitful the meaning is "are your numbers increasing?"  But is that what Jesus meant?
Ok, obviously, if we are producing good fruit then hopefully we are producing some quantity thereof and I am not going to deny or argue that point.
But the point I am going to argue is this:  If fruit means numbers, what if the fruit we are producing is "bad" fruit and we are producing huge numbers thereof?  Now Jesus did not define what bad fruit is but by His example He did exhibit what good fruit is and if what we are producing is not like what Jesus produced then we must ask ourselves the question, "is this good fruit?"
Jesus produced 11 men who came to understand that faith in Christ puts us in right relationship with God as our Father!  Jesus focused on the Father-son fellowship in His teachings and what are our abilities as the sons and daughters of God - - and to use those abilities for the good of others:  To love our spiritual brethren and our neighbors - and our enemies!
Jesus taught us to live by God's standards and definitions of what is right and wrong and empowered us to set people free from the bondages of satan and sin!  Then to complete (not that this list is complete) the matter He told us to MAKE DISCIPLES of all (both numbers and types) men - teaching them what Jesus taught!
I was talking with a new friend in Texas this week and it was noted that by today's church standards of measurement, that the ministry of Jesus was a dismal failure!  It started out small then grew to great numbers -- which by today's standards is what it should be.  But then, by the end of His earthly ministry, MULTITUDES had turned away from Jesus to the point that He asked His 12 disciples, "will you leave me also?"
Then, one of those committed suicide!  What a success story!  Actually, we know that when Jesus was crucified, there were about 120 faithful followers of Christ - - way down from the tens of thousands whom He had fed on at least two occasions!  Most certainly by today's church standards, Jesus would have been a failure.  Except that those few followers were good fruit and they turned the world upside down with the Gospel!
My point is this - - don't get caught in the "numbers" trap where fruit is defined by numbers!  Look to be a producer of good fruit and as much of it as opportunity allows!
In closing think about this:  How many people were the products of the person who led Billy Graham to salvation?  If the only person he led to Christ was Billy Graham, was his life/ministry fruitful?  How many people were discipled by the person who discipled Billy Graham?  If Billy Graham was this person's only disciple was this person fruitful with good fruit?

Many Blessings!
In Christ,
Timothy

The Confusion Over Christ!
While editing a new study course for True Hope Bible Institute this week, God gave me a new insight that we need to address!
Jesus Christ is a mystery in that He is the God-man:  Son of God and Son of Man simultaneously!  He clearly stated that He and God are One while at the same time He endured His humanity and His humanity veiled His Divinity, and for the whole of His earthly life he was truly human and also truly God!

This fact is missed by the multitudes of humanity and can only be grasped by the mind renewed by being born again, thus born of the Spirit of God!  And so many false theologies have sprung forth from the inability to see Christ as both simultaneously.  In fact, most errant theologies result from looking at Jesus as only human and not God also.  Now these are not the new insights I gained this week.

This one is:  God's Word tells us that we are being conformed to the image of Christ and that we are to be transformed into His likeness (Romans 8 and 12 among others) - - but there is confusion as to the Christ we are being conformed and transformed into the image of!

Are we to be conformed into the earthly image of Christ or the Divine?  After all, Christ was unique in all existence as the only God-man ever and so what are we to be conformed to?  This is the confusion that may have the lives of many saints in its grasp!

In pondering this question it seems that the answer is along these lines.  Obviously we cannot be conformed to be an earthly incarnation of God - - we were conceived in sin and we are trapped in corruption until the great resurrection!  However!

Let's take one more look at what Christ was on earth - and still is in heaven ... the HUMAN Son of God!  Romans 8:29 tells us that God's will is that Jesus be the FIRST BORN among MANY BRETHREN!  While He was both begotten and born as the Son of God ... we have been born again to be the sons and daughters of God!

Thus, it seems that we are to be conformed to the image of Jesus, the human child of God and that we, like Jesus was (and remains) are to live in fellowship with God as our Father because we have become His human children!

As the human child of God, Jesus was bound to the limitations of being human while at the same time He was not bound to the failures of being human!  He lived in divine health, but He still died as a human!  But as a human He had authority over all the powers of the devil - - and then He tells us that we do too - only in His name!  As a human He was able to heal the sick - - and then tells us that we can too - only in HIS name!

This list is a long one and hopefully you see the truth without having to go into the entire list.

Have you ever considered that Jesus had two natures and being born again we also have two natures?  Jesus had a human and a divine nature.  We have a human and divine nature!  The one big difference is that the human nature of Jesus was not corrupted by sin as is ours!  All the same, His human nature left Him subject to the very same temptations and passions we are faced with, only His perfect incarnation kept the divine in dominion over the human.

Yet we are also told that the divine nature within us not only can but is supposed to be in dominion over our human nature as we study Romans 6.  But then in 1 John, we are told that if we are His the we SHOULD walk just as He also walked!  And how did Jesus walk?  As the human child of God!

So it is not a matter of which aspect of Jesus we are to be conformed to, the human or divine, but rather to His uniqueness - - God's human child!  Thus we are told that we are God's peculiar people!  Study Titus 2

So let us not be confused about being conformed to the image of Jesus, but let us cooperate with God's work to conform us to the pattern of being God's human children that Jesus gave us!

Many Blessings!
Dr. Timothy

UK:  Christians Have No Right to Wear a Cross

http://www.cbn.com

British officials are preparing to make the case that Christians have no right to wear the cross to work.

The case comes as two British women are defending their right before the European Court of Human Rights to display the Christian symbol.

But the London Telegraph reports the British officials will argue that because wearing the cross is not a "requirement" of the Christian faith, employers can prevent workers from wearing it.

They plan to suggest that employers can also fire people who do so.

Critics point out that Sikhs and Muslims have been given special protections for their clothing and symbols.

Meanwhile, the case has drawn fire from prominent Christians like Lord Carey, the former archbishop of Canterbury.

Carey said ministers and courts were "dictating" to believers, calling it another example of Christianity being marginalized in the public square.

"The reasoning is based on a wholly inappropriate judgment of matters of theology and worship about which they can claim no expertise," he charged.

"The irony is that when governments and courts dictate to Christians that the cross is a matter of insignificance, it becomes an even more important symbol and expression of our faith," he added.

White House conspiracy with prophetic "Beast" agenda inspires impeachment legislation

By:  Bill Wilson

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta March 7 repeatedly told the Senate Armed Services Committee that America would seek permission for military action from international bodies and then "inform" Congress of the Administration's decision. Panetta said, "Again, our goal would be to seek international permission and we would come to the Congress and inform you...Whether or not we would want to get permission from the Congress, I think those are issues I think we would have to discuss as we decide what to do here." His words, and previous actions in Libya and elsewhere, have prompted impeachment actions against the man who occupies the Oval Office. There is, however, a deeper prophetic meaning.

North Carolina Republican Congressman Walter Jones that same day introduced H.Con.Rs.107, "Expressing the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution." The legislation further states: "That it is the sense of Congress that, except in response to an actual or imminent attack against the territory of the United States, the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress violates Congress's exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution and therefore constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution."

Panetta's remarks appear to be the last straw for some members of Congress, who have been mulling over the authority of the Administration's military actions in the Middle East. On June 15, 2011, the White House presented a 38 page report attempting to justify the war in Libya. At that time, the president made a humanitarian case for offensive military action in Libya. House Speaker John Boehner informed the president that he would be in violation of the War Powers Act and the Constitution if the war did not end by June 17. US involvement in the Libyan war continued through October 2011. The president claimed that he was within his authority to continue the war without Congressional approval.

The Administration's submission of the Constitution to international legal authority is troublesome. It is a reflection of policies that yield American sovereignty to international bodies, conspiring, if you will, to one-world agendas. The same attitude prevails on protecting the US border, not enforcing specific laws, and conspiring with outside groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood in destabilizing the Middle East. Most recently, Panetta made marines in Afghanistan disarm for his speech, in deference, he says, to Afghani soldiers who, as a matter of policy, were disarmed. Revelation 13:17 speaks of a one world order: "And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." This White House each day brings America closer to this prophecy

Ministry News & Notes:
WELCOME HOME FROM THE PHILIPPINES!
Doyle & Marilyn Head are stateside until mid-April from theird missionary field in General Santos, Mindenao in the Philippines!

Doyle reports that the doors are still wide open in the Philippines but that they are now the only nation designated as Christian in the Asian realm.

The difference between a Christian Nation such as the Philippines and the United States?  Doyle teaches Biblical Morals classes in the public schools and these are GRADED courses!

The Presidend of School Principles over scores of public schools is recommending that all the schools take up these Biblically taught courses - - Doyle noted that if he was to teach these same courses in the U.S. he would probably be thrown in jail or at least face dozens of lawsuits!

We heartily recommend that you join us in financially supporting the Heads in thier ministry to the Philippines!  All donations can be sent to us noted for "The Philippines" and we will make sure they get there!

Messages from: Leaders in Ministry
From Jerry Williams

The following is an exerpt from Jerry's most recent "Thought for the Day" ...

... I recently read something the late David Wilkerson wrote which stated, ‘You will never take up the towel of mercy if you are wearing the robe of judgment’.

Those who are loyal in heart and able to keep ranks are those who have learned to daily carry the towel of mercy.  I pray God would so work in each of our hearts none of us will ever again break ranks with anyone God has placed in our lives as a comrade in arms.

Not one of us is without guilt in this matter.  We all can testify how judgments we’ve rendered toward others in the past, even though they seemed completely justifiable, in the end were exposed as merciless and unrighteous in the presence of God.

May God give us all a loyal heart and teach us how to keep ranks until He comes.
