Startup Raises $15M Series A to Commercialize UCLA IP
Enlibrium announced that it has raised $15 million in a Series A financing co-led by Avalon Ventures and TPG Biotech, with participation from Correlation Ventures and Osage University Partners. The technology has been exclusively licensed from UCLA and was developed in the laboratories of Michael Jung and Richard Pietras.

UCLA Wins First primeUC Startup Competition
Spinal Singularity, the startup founded by Derek Herrera, recent graduate of UCLA’s Anderson School of Management MBA program, won $150,000 in seed funding to develop and market a smart catheter that could vastly improve the lives of people with paralysis and others who suffer from neurogenic bladder dysfunction.

UCLA Startup Receives CE Mark Approval for ADHD
NeuroSigma, Inc. announced that it has received CE Mark approval for its Monarch eTNS System® as treatment for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults and children age 7 and older. This CE Mark approval is the first for any non-drug treatment of ADHD in the European Union (EU).

UCLA Prof, WaterPlanet CoFounder Receives Honor
UCLA Professor and Water Planet co-founder, Richard B. Kaner, has been selected to receive the 2015 Materials Research Society (MRS) Medal. He is cited "for the discovery of efficient methods to synthesize water dispersible conducting polymer nano-fibers and their applications in sensors, actuators, molecular memory devices, catalysis, and the novel process of flash welding."
