The sidewalk on the east side of the Biology Building will be closed through the end of June to facilitate site work related to the renovation of the Biology Building. 
During the week of April 23, The Center for Business Excellence will offer Budget Report training. To register for a particular training, please log in to DevelopWest and click on Instructor Led Training Sessions on the home page and search for the training in which you wish to enroll.

Mobile Lab Naming Contest
The Educational Technology and Foundations Department in the College of Education is creating a mobile innovations lab and maker space to take to rural low income schools in our community. The mobile lab will visit local schools and community events and allow people to participate in maker space activities and interact with innovative technologies. If you aren't familiar with maker spaces, more information can be found
here. The mobile lab will look something like this.Through grant funding, we hope to leave schools with the resources they need to start their own maker space. We need your help with naming this project. You may suggest up to three names.  If your name is chosen, you could win a $50 Amazon gift card. The contest ends Wednesday April 18. Administrative Professionals Conference
Be a part of the inaugural Administrative Professionals Conference at UWG Newnan on Wednesday, May 9. Termination Notification Form
When a faculty, staff or temporary employee terminates employment with the university, department managers must complete the  termination notification web form. Ideally the form would be submitted as soon as the last day of employment is known but must be submitted no later than five days after the termination date. This form also needs to be submitted within 30 days for employees who change departments on campus.

UWG Foundation Account Report Training
Financial Edge View Only User Training has been scheduled. If you are interested in learning how to produce reports on your UWG Foundation accounts or need to refresh your skills, you can sign up for the training through DevelopWest. Search for “Financial Edge View Only User Training” in the Instructor Led Training category.
 

Travel Services Forum
Faculty and staff are welcome to attend a Travel Services Forum taking place Wednesday, April 25, at 9:30 a.m. in the Nursing Building, lecture hall 106. The Travel Services Team will be on hand to answer questions as well as provide information concerning recent changes in travel regulations. Seating is limited, so please contact Travel Services to reserve a seat.

FY18 Encumbrance Procedure
The updated FY18 encumbrance procedure is available on the Travel Services website under Before Travel for travel from June 1 through Sept. 30, 2018.

The Work West Bulletin

The Work West Bulletin provides you with the information you need to get through your work week. This bulletin is a visually interactive way to share important dates, deadlines, policy changes and training information all in one place. The Work West Bulletin is published weekly on Monday to all faculty and staff.

Items can be submitted to the bulletin via email: report@westga.edu. Bulletin announcements (100 words or less) should be submitted by noon on Thursday before the following Monday's publishing date. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact UCM.
