NSSE/FSSE Launch
UWG wants to gauge students' experiences in college–both inside and outside the
classroom–as well as faculty practices linked with high levels of learning and
development using the NSSE and FSSE. The National Survey of Student Engagement
(NSSE) will go out to first-year and senior students via campus email on Feb. 14 and be
open until mid-May. The Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE) begins March
26 and runs through May 9. If you have questions, please contact Amanda Thomas
at amandat@westga.edu or 678-839-6449.

RecycleMania 2019
RecycleMania is a national competition in which colleges and universities set recycling benchmarks, strive to increase recycling rates and work to educate the community about recycling and sustainability. Recycle West has participated in RecycleMania since 2015. The competition will run through Sunday, March 31.

During this time faculty, staff and students have an opportunity to directly participate in the university's sustainability efforts by recommitting to recycling on campus. The first step for each person is to take the “pledge,” committing to learn about recycling on campus. After pledging, find out more by attending one of the recycling education sessions during the competition and engaging in recycling and other sustainable practices.Click here for more information or send an email to recycle@westga.edu.

ITS Standard Maintenance Hours

ITS works continuously to improve the security of all systems across campus. In an effort to reduce the response time to address security vulnerabilities, ITS will add a daily maintenance window to perform server patching. During the maintenance window, servers may experience a short outage due to a reboot. ITS will monitor systems during maintenance and will take appropriate action to restore services if problems occur.

The established maintenance windows are:

Daily window:

   Monday-Saturday 4-7 a.m.

Extended windows:

   Sunday 4 a.m.-noon

   Tuesday and Thursday 8 p.m.-midnight (non-academic systems)
