UWG needs 10 more people to sign up by January 31 for the new affinity license plate to meet the minimum number required by the state. UWG receives $10 for each tag to fund scholarships for undergraduate students.The cost includes a one time $25 manufacturing fee, a $20 annual registration fee and a $35 annual special tag fee.

Dr. Leland Gustafson, retired economics professor, passed away on December 27, 2017. He was many things to UWG and to the Richards College of Business, as well as a true and loyal friend. Even after retiring, he continued to teach part-time and loved helping students. Click here to read his obituary.

Debra Alexander passed away on December 18, 2017. She was a valued member of the University Police Department, where she worked as a communications officer for over 14 years. Click here to read her obituary.

Student Activitiy Fee Budget Allocation-Deadline Extended
The Student Activity Fee Budget Allocation (SAFBA) Committee is now accepting proposals for funding from student activity fees for the 2018-2019 academic year with a January 12 deadline. To apply for funds, complete one of the forms located in Orgsync. Use your university credentials to log in. Then search for and click on the SAFBA portal, click on forms and complete the appropriate form. Contact Chris Geiger in the Center for Student Involvement with any questions.


The Work West Bulletin

The Work West Bulletin will provide you with the information you need to get through your work week. This bulletin is a visually interactive way to share important dates, deadlines, policy changes, and training information all in one place. The Work West Bulletin will be published weekly on Mondays to all faculty and staff.

Items can be submitted to the bulletin via email: report@westga.edu. Bulletin announcements (100 words or less) should be submitted by noon on Thursday before the following Monday's publishing date.
