Counseling Center Changes
Please help your students understand some changes in the process to begin counseling in the UWG Counseling  Center. We are making these changes to eliminate wait times and give better service to students. Walk in hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Students who have never been to the Counseling Center may walk in and will be seen for a brief check in where a counselor will meet with students for 15 minutes to gather the nature of student concerns and assess for risk. The student and the counselor will determine what resources may be helpful and the counselor will facilitate next steps.
Counselors may recommend a number of resources including group and/or individual counseling in the Counseling Center, or with an off-campus provider, or other on-campus services. After hours crisis counseling is still available by calling 678-839-6428 and pressing option 2. All services in the Counseling Center are confidential and free.

  • Tier 2 Rate: $0.20 per mile Government or agency owned vehicle is available or if it is determined that a rental vehicle is the recommended method of travel, but a personal motor vehicle is used (increased from $0.18 per mile)

Year-to-Date Balances
Some year-to-date (YTD) balances are showing incorrectly on the last December pay stub.  During conversion to OneUSG, the decision was made to not convert check YTD from ADP. Therefore, certain balances start fresh with OneUSG Connect Payroll data.  Other balances, such as taxes, were converted so those balances are correct.  Because of this, the summarized YTD section will not be accurate until 2019. Please wait for your W-2, which will be correct and include the information from ADP and OneUSG Connect, to file your taxes.

Performance Evaluations

The Calendar Year 2018 Performance Evaluation Period begins in January through Feb. 22. Please visit the Performance Management Website for more information and for upcoming training opportunities for supervisors/managers and employees.

New Payroll Schedule

To ensure staff and faculty changes are processed in a timely manner, the payroll schedule deadlines will change effective with the first biweekly February and February monthly payrolls. This change will shift all payroll deadlines approximately two weeks earlier than the current schedule and will be a permanent change. The new payroll schedule is posted on the Human Resources site.
